ThreeForMe Laser Resurfacing for crepey skin

Repair wrinkles, sun-damage and broken blood vessels with non-surgical fractionated laser skin resurfacing! It’s safe, quick and painless – and it’s all done in a single session.

Here at Oceanside Medical Aesthetics, we use Cynosure’s Icon™ 1540 to lighten and even out skin tone and texture. The treatment can be performed in as little as 30 minutes. Patients resume their daily activities after their session.

Please note: during the summer months this treatment should not be performed if the new skin will be immediately exposed to sunlight. It can be done on non-exposed body areas.

It’s a two-step treatment that uses a combination of lasers to target different skin issues.

Step one

Intense pulsed light (IPL) penetrates all levels of the skin without harming its surface. It treats discoloration, including freckles and brown spots from sun damage or rosacea. IPL is extremely effective at reducing broken blood vessels and spider veins.

Step two

A fractional Erbium laser, which emits a very thin beam of light to make thousands of microscopic wounds over a fraction of your skin, leaving the rest intact. The intact skin helps jump-start healing, stimulating the production of collagen and new cell turnover to create firmer, smoother skin. This new collagen and elastin helps to re-volumize thin, crepey skin, even out your tone and texture on your face, hands or elsewhere.

Combine with serums and moisturizers that contain lubricating and plumping ingredients like salicylic acid, lactic acid or glycolic acid). Ask about hyaluronic acid serums – the best ingredient for building up dry, crepey skin.

Is There Any Downtime?

There is no downtime after the procedure. Patients should avoid direct sun exposure during the healing process and for the first 3 months after treatment. Application of sunscreen is also recommended.*

Is the Treatment Painful?

While pain tolerance varies by person, we will make sure to provide a numbing agent prior to the treatment. The device also has a cooling mechanism to ease discomfort.*
